Last week I was honored by the ladies of my family and my girl friends at a beautiful baby shower celebrating the arrival of Baby B. Since I'm having a girl it was even more special to have all the women in my life come together and fete the birth of another girl. That's girl power I tell you!
The pink, black and white theme that I chose was fleshed out by my fabulously creative friend Katie Vitale, who runs events for Alice + Olivia. The huge pink balloons balanced with the black and white table clothes and candy, was a great way to use pink but not be too girly.
Baby pictures of myself and my husband turned into personalized confetti at photofetti.com decorated all the tables. |
The activity of the evening was a onesie making station where the ladies could iron on pre-made appliques from the Etsy seller LuluBelleBabyDesigns, and add a little note using letters or fabric pens. They turned out so great, I can't wait to dress Baby B in all the adorable creations.
By the end of the night, everyone had pinned up their custom designed onesies on a clothing line and it was just adorable. Baby B is so loved and she isn't even here yet! |

All in all this was a serious DIY baby shower done in the communal room of my parent's apartment building. It goes to show you with a little TLC anything is possible! Check back on Thursday to see what I wore on this special day! Of course there is pink in it for my little girl!
A big thank you to everyone who came and celebrated this special day with me.
What a spread of desserts! Must have been heaven!
