Wedding Wednesday: NYC Staycation

By Julie

As promised last week but postponed due to the power outage, I'm excited to share a few of the highlights from my little B&B staycation that two of my nearest and dearest treated me to in honor of my engagement!

The day started at AIRE Ancient Baths down in Tribeca where we indulged in a session of thermal baths and massages based on the rituals from ancient Greeks and Romans. For 90 minutes, we dipped in baths ranging from warm water to hot-water pools to high temperature steam rooms and lastly a quick dunk in a cold-water pool to induce relaxation and increase circulation right before our massages.

It was such a fun experience and the perfect place to relax and socialize with your friends all at the same time. After that, we headed to the Mondrian Soho for a some appetizers and a few SkinnyGirl Margaritas (no night is complete as far as I'm concerned without a SkinnyGirl marg) before dinner at Isola Trattoria & Crudo Bar for a mini Halloween celebration and the ultimate girls night out!

It was an amazing little getaway with the girls and a great excuse to explore the city we call home! I'm so lucky to have such special friends help celebrate this exciting year.

Engagements are not necessary, but staycations certainly are!! Have you tried it??
