Wedding Wednesday: {Personal Vows}

By Julie

I usually don't get sappy here on the blog, but with only 10 more days before our big day emotions are running high. The past year has totally flown by, but especially these last few weeks as we prepare all the last minute details it's easy to lose track of why we're here in the first place.

My fiance and I have decided that while we really wish we could say our own vows, we both know that the moment would probably get the best of us. We both have pretty easy emotional triggers, for better or for worse. So with that said, we've decided to just personalize the entire ceremony but not speak individual or personal vows to each other. Overall, I think the biggest thing I would say to him is thank you. I absolutely love how he watched me grow up as a young teenager and supported me in becoming the driven and independent young woman I am today.

Our love has proved modern enough to survive the times, but old fashion enough to last forever. I love you. And I can't wait to become your wife

10 more days and counting!

I hope you guys have a great July 4th weekend. I'll be back next week with my very own Bridal DIY. Cross your fingers it works out as well as I have planned.

  1. This is the SWEETEST!!!! We said the traditional vows, but wrote little letters to each other to read aloud - I had mine written out bc i knew i would fall apart. :) It's the BEST having a best friend! XOXO

  2. julie, how sweet!!! so excited for you!!! we said traditional vows and i totally choked up during them. we also exchanged letters that we read before the ceremony, which probably didn't help the emotional factor. either way, it sounds like it's going to be an incredibly special day!! can't wait to hear/see all about it! xx
