This past holiday weekend was an extra special one for me and my groom.
A group of family friends offered to throw my fiance and me a 'Jack and Jill' or Couple's Shower in Chicago. By definition, a couple shower is closer to a cocktail or dinner party than it is to a bridal shower. Female and male relatives, as well as close friends, were invited and like most showers, the party still revolved around gifts. Guests generously toasted us with with a mix of home goods and guy-friendly gadgets-- so much so that I'm feeling the pressure to pick up my cooking game!
