I love me a red lip and I couldn't have been happier to see it make its way down the Fall '13 runways and on the Grammy's red carpet this season. It looks like this make-up and beauty 'trend' is here to stay, but it can definitely be a bit intimidating for some people to pull-off.
Here are my favorite shades and a few 'tips and tricks' for making this look work for you!
Tips and Tricks
Avoid deep reds if you have thin lips. They tend to make lips look smaller!
Paler skin-tones should opt for rosier shades.
Try shades with with a citrusey or orange base for an appropriate work look. After all, you don't want your boss thinking you came from the club!
Keep your eye makeup simple. There's nothing worse than too much of a look; mascara and a light beige shadow will do!
The Oscars are usually reserved for more demure and springier makeup shades, but something tells me we might just see a hot red lip on Sundays red carpet! At least I hope so. What do you think??
