A true man's man book that you could add to this list is "Unbroken," the story of Louis Zamperini, Olympic track star, WW2 POW, and all around badass. He survived for over a month on a raft in the Pacific Ocean, only to be captured by Japanese soldiers where he would spend over 2 years as a prisoner of war. Truly an inspriring book!
